Coach Eddy Arza (Quarterback Coach) played college and semi-pro football before becoming a coach at the age of 20. His extensive knowledge has been compiled of over 25 years. And has seen a lot of his ex-players perform in college and in the Pros. Some of these players include Ben Hanks, Kendal James, Shatarius Atwel, Loni Johnson, Frank Ponce, Wilkie Perez, Javier Perez, Rudy Jones and James Coley, just to name a few.

Coach Arza is also the first and only coach in Dade County to have a Quarterback in the top 3 for 7 years in a row. He is the founder of the first ever Quarterback Camp/Challenge to be televised on CBS Sports on May 31, 2009 at the University of Miami Campus.  He can now add to his list of accomplishments a POP WARNER SUPER BOWL.  He coached the 80lbs for the Overtown Rattlers along side Head Coach Ben Hanks.  His son Edward Arza JR, A.K.A. Tebow, was the Quarterback & Defensive End.  And yes, Edward Arza JR attends FTA.

Coach Doug Ponce (Receivers Coach) played at Miami Senior High and coached at La Progresiva in 1994, Coral Gables 1995-1997, Miami High 1998 and Miami Norland 1999-2005 where they won the State Championship in 2002. He has coached the likes of Roscoe Parrish, Andre Johnson and Dwayne Bowe and Atari Bigby. He has also coached one of the top youth football teams in the nation that has not lost a football game in 3 years and now are 3-time Super Bowl champions. His son, Douglas Ponce Jr., is a Cornerback and also attends FTA.

There may never be another youth football team to accomplish what the Doral 140lbs have. Four years in a row without losing a game, four superbowl rings, etc. This year in the teams final season, all other competitors wanted to hand them there first loss, without success. Coach Sosa and Coach Ponce were there to help them become an official dynasty.


Coach Roly Reyes (Running Back Coach) played semi pro football for Miami Storm also played flag football top gun level for Team STING, one of the Nationals best flag football teams ever 10 time Florida State Champs, 3 Time National Champions.

His has been called the Bill Belichick of youth football, by Orange Bowl Officials and Presidents from NYFL, SYFL, & AYFL. He can easily be called the most victorious youth football coach ever as he only has 5 loses in 7 years and over 130 wins as a Head Coach. He has been in the Super Bowls every year of the Doral Broncos existence. He has won 4 Xtreme Super Bowls all back to back, his teams won 3 Orange Bowl State Championships one runner up, Won 2 National Championships and last year defeated all teams from all leagues in the Genexxet Super State Showdown Championship. His teams have played on National Television 4 Times and The City of Doral Proclaimed Jan. 13th As Doral Bronco Day for going 73-0 in four years. Most important has developed kids like Bobby Washington top 100 running backs in the country, Mathew Martin North Carolina Division 4A Leading Rusher, Christopher Esteban playing college football D1 “D” University, Jamal Sessions Dade County rushing leaderin 2a, Timothy Irvin Youth Footballs Most exciting player, Jesus “Bobo” Wilson starting wing back as a sophomore at Columbus, Jose Dominguez Starting wing back Chaminade-Madonna as a Sophomore, Leo Lorenzo starting flanker Southwest High School as sophomore, Brandon Vicens & Isaiah McKenzie , American Heritage starters as sophomores. These are just a few of many kids Roly Reyes has gotten ready for the next level. Mr. Reyes is also the founder of the Doral Broncos and has help run the Youth Division of the University of Miami Football Camp for 5 years. Roly Reyes has help kids from all walks of life as well as ages. He has installed Respect, Responsibility, Caring, and Honor in all these kids’ lives and has helped them turn into great students, and young men in our communities around Dade and Broward County.


Coach Royston started his playing career at the Aquinas Institute in Rochester, NY and from there went on to play collegiate football and run track & field at Phoenix College in Arizona. After playing, he began his coaching career back at the Aquinas Institute helping them become the 1998 New York State football champions. From there he moved to North Carolina where he became a consultant as Strength and Conditioning coach to the Grimsley Senior High School football team in Greensboro, NC -- which reached the State final in 2005. Once again Coach moved, this time to the state of Florida to continue to work with some of the top athletes in the country and is now on staff with Christopher Columbus High School, one of the premier programs in the county.

Coach Alva is the owner and operator of the Miami Speed and Sports Performance Training. He is a certified trainer through the Nike SPARQ program, USA Weightlifting, USA Track & Field, and is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). With over 15 years of experience, Alva has trained and worked with athletes for the NFL combine prep, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NLL, and many members of their minor league affiliates. He has also worked with members of the 1992, 1996, and the 2000 Olympic Games, as well as numerous collegiate athletes. Coach Kenneth Revere, Sr. has been coaching for 29 years. He is known as one of the Top Offensive and Defensive Line Coaches in Southeast United States. From 1983 to 1990, he has played Semi-Pro football for several well-known local teams like Buck Town, Miami Storm, Carol City Raiders, and Knights of Miami.

While playing football in the Miami area, Kenneth has always found the time to coach young developing players. And when he moved to Georgia, he continued to coach these young and talented athletes. Upon his return to South Florida, he immediately got involved again and began coaching players at all levels.

In January 2010, Kenneth was honored by being inducted into the American Football Hall of Fame for his contribution to Football.

Being the proud father of three, he has two sons that play football. One currently is attending Palmetto Senior High School and has been named the #3 Tackler in Miami-Dade County. Currently, Kenneth continues to coach youth football, high school and also helps men by helping them get a second chance through football by returning to his roots and coaching The Florida Kings Minor League Football Team.

Coaching gives Kenneth the opportunity to teach and develop young men to become not only great players but great individuals.

From 1983 to Present, Kenneth's passion for coaching grows more passionate every day. He is truly in a League of Extraordinary People!!!


Coach Torriano Brooks played football at Miami Senior High School and was an important reason why the they won district and regional championships.

He has been coaching and developing top-youth football players for over fifteen years. He has coached at Norland Senior High School since 2001 and was a key reason why they won there 1st State Championship ever in school history.

Not only is Coach Brooks one of the top wide receivers and defensive backs coaches in the state, but he is also a special teams coordinator. He has coached star players likes Cory Parks, Dwane Bowe, Richard Gordan, Antonio Brown, and Xaiver Rhodes, just to name a few.

Coach Brooks took his dedication and winning attitude to the United States Army Calvary Regiment. His daughter, Desia Brooks, has also benefited from her dads coaching by being one of the top youth basketball players in Miami-Dade County. And yes, she also attends FTA.


Coach Jesus Sosa (Offensive and Defensive Line Coach) played 6A football for 3 years in Dade County. He was a 3 year Letterman as he was the starting Nose Guard. He served in our U.S Army for 3 years and 6 years as a Reserve. He has coached Youth Football for over 4 years.  He has also coached one of the top youth football teams in the nation that has not lost a football game in 3 years and now are 3-time Super Bowl champions.  His son, Nicolas Sosa, is a quarterback and also attends FTA.

The discipline, heart, and enthusiasm that Coach Sosa brings to First Team Athletics will be embedded in our youth for years to come. Coach Sosa has assisted Coach Arza in coaching high school players in 1-on-1 sessions for the past 5 years. Not only is Coach Sosa our Defensive Line Coach, he is also our disciplinarian and founding partner.

Coach Javier Perez (Quarterback and Running Back Coach) started playing football at Miami Beach Optimist when he was 12 years old. He went on to play high school football at Miami Senior High and as a junior he made Second Team All County and also Player to Watch going into his senior year. During his senior year in high school he made First Team All County and Second Team All State. He also led the state in pass yardage ahead of Tommie Frazier QB for the 1995 National Champs Nebraska Cornhuskers (12-0), who at the time was playing for Bradenton Manatee. After high school he played professionally in Europe for 2 years. For his first year in the league he played in Alessandria, Italy for the Alessandria Knights. There he helped take the team to their first Championship (12-1) and received Team MVP honors. The second year he played in Turin for the Torino Jaguars. Unfortunately after only 5 games into the season with a record of 5-0 he suffered an injury that ended his season. At this point he decided to return home and coach football. He began at Miami Senior High as JV head coach for two yrs. He then became offensive coordinator at Miami Central Senior High. He also worked with North Miami Senior High and then he returned back to Miami Senior High as Co. Coordinator.

Coach Juan Barcelo (Offensive Line Coach) can be described in 1 word, “Winner”.  He was a starting offensive lineman at Miami Senior High School for 3 years.  He was a key reason why Miami High's offense was one of the top-ranked schools in the State.  He earned a football scholarship at Glenville State from 1993-1995.  He has over 6 years of high school coaching experience in Miami-Dade County.  He was the offensive coordinator at North Miami for 5 years as they had one of the County's top offensive teams.
FTA is honored to have a true offensive lineman expert.


Coach Juan Montano (Linebacker Coach) has been coaching since 1982. His experience includes 1982-1987 at Miami High, 1988-1992 he did private coaching, 1993-1998 little league at Kendall Boys and Girls Club, 1999-2006 Chaminade-Madonna where his team won one State Championship. He coached the likes of Glenn Cook, John Moyer, Rudy Taylor and Darren Mickles.
